A Peaceful and Vibrant Mind
With each new client, we determine the balance of Coaching and Nutritional Support that feels most supportive.
Coaching: The first steps are to envision where you would like to be, and to remember strengths and past successes. Shifting thought patterns changes our brains. Remembering what you love inspires action. As we work together, we discover the small shifts in work, play, social connection, movement or nutrition that are both achievable and helpful.
Nutrition: Whether we start out working on mood, prostate or weight, as we balance nutrition, clients discover greater clarity of thought and a calmer state of mind. Careful observation of subtle effects guides the discovery of each person's unique solution. Becoming calmer and more centered are indicators that we are on the right track in our nutritional recovery plan for mood disorder or addiction.
While whole foods provide the foundation, specific nutrients often play a pivotal role in reestablishing a peaceful and vibrant mind. Minerals, healthy fatty acids, and vitamins are key players. Amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, can have a profound effect in repairing neurotransmitter deficiencies so crucial to the recovery from addiction and mental health concerns. Current symptoms, simple in-office tests, questionnaires or a functional analysis of lab results, or hair tests will guide our choice of the nutrients which might be most beneficial. Each person's journey and solutions are unique as we move through a process of discovery and restoration.
