Heart Art

Tattered Heart
It is February. Feeling a bit tattered by the long dark winter?
Coming back to the light. Starting to remember.
I have come more and more to believe that the role of body and mind is to support our heart. Our true desire. Our connection with others. And that our minds love images. And that we understand things not just with words but with visual images. With our hands . Especially while with others.
Maybe that is why they came up with the idea of Valentines day.... Next year I think we should have a Valentine making party. Don't you think?!
For this year, please do consider this upcoming class: A sweet group of people has already signed up:
Feb 26th 2017 at Rainbow Remedies 2-3:30 Nourish our Spirits, Nourish our Cells
Find a sense of grounded peace and strength with a well-nourished body and mind. We will explore simple daily habits to sweeten our thoughts, to foster moments of clarity, intention, and reflection. Perhaps a brief meditation, a writing practice, or envisioning and “tapping in” your tribe of support will offer gentle guidance towards the wisdom residing in our hearts.
Then to Nourish our Cells: while dipping chips into three zesty ferments: kiwi salsa, ginger carrots and a turmeric, ginger, carrot ferment, we'll inquire about the science and ancestral roots of these tasty foods. We’ll explore how a healthy bowel flora provides a foundation for mental and physical health at a cellular level. “Bowel flora ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy!”
The class will include recipes for these three tasty Krauts, Handouts for Tapping In, and a certificate for a half hour health consultation with Judith. Please email Judith to sign up at judith@revivinghealth.com.
Judith Ames has worked as a Certified Wellness Coach, Mental Health Nutrition Coach and Nutritional Therapist at Reviving Health on Capitol Hill since 2008. Supported by these trainings, 35 years of yoga and simple meditation practices, she finds great pleasure in helping clients discover a calm clear mind and a sense of vitality with a nutritional and lifestyle tune up.
