Dear providers of delicious food for Rolande and family:
Based on the recommendations of various people, Rolande has decided to follow an anti-inflammatory healing diet. Here are some guidelines for Rolande's healing diet:
[please note: We are also cooking, in the portions for 6, for Rolande's family and they are not on such a strict diet.]
Use lots of vegetables: please make two thirds of every meal vegetables or fruit. One way to prepare vegetables is pickled. Rolande loves these fresh tasty vegetables.
Avoid sugar, or any other concentrated sweet foods.
Avoid refined grains and processed foods.
Please use organic if possible.
Protein sources: light meats: chicken, wild caught fish and tofu are good: avoid red meat for now except in bone broths..
Raw or lightly cooked is wonderful: chopped salads and blended raw soups or salsas, delicately cooked fish, vegetables al dente are great.
Berries, the darker the better are great. Blueberries are terrific.
Avoid cow dairy. Goats milk is fine. Goat yogurt is great. Cows milk ghee is fine.
Bone broth base for soups. This is great to rebuild Rolande's bones after the radiation. Better than medication!
Salads
